The Guild of Architectural Ironmongers has announced the shortlisted entries in the GAI Community Awards, which celebrate the very best businesses and individuals in the sector.
The awards were launched in 2022 to raise the profile of exceptional commitment, innovation, customer focus, leadership and achievement throughout the architectural ironmongery industry.
GAI chief executive and chair of the judging panel Simon Forrester said: “The Guild supports and promotes the architectural ironmongery sector by focusing on the triple pillars of technical, education and community excellence.
“Sitting alongside our well-established Education and Specification Awards, the new Community Awards recognise the vital importance of that final pillar, celebrating individuals and businesses who have demonstrated leadership, innovation, or service to the industry, as well as going the extra mile to deliver for their clients.”
The shortlisted entries are as follows:
Achiever Award, identifying the brightest and best of those who are still developing their careers.
Customer Focus Award for individuals, companies or teams that have gone the extra mile to deliver excellence in customer service, whether through new processes or for consistently delivering beyond expectation and delighting the customer.
Company Innovation Award, for companies which have demonstrated they are innovating through improved processes and/or products, and have demonstrated how those improvements have made a difference to them, their customers or wider society.
The winner in each shortlisted category will be announced at the GAI Education Awards in London on Thursday 17 November, along with the winners of the Leadership Award and GAI Fellowship Award.
Simon Forrester added: “The judges were blown away by the quality of entries, and particularly pleased at the breadth of companies, roles and qualities represented.
“We are looking forward hugely to celebrating with the winners of the inaugural GAI Community Awards at the ceremony at The Kia Oval on Thursday 17 November.”
