Challenge Exam 2
The Challenge Exam allows Students to resume and complete their qualification after a break without having to start again from the beginning of the Education Programme.

Challenge Exams are suitable for:
• Certificate in Architectural Hardware candidates who have taken a break of three years or more between Stages
• Successful Certificate candidates who wish to move on to Diploma studies after a cumulative break in their GAI studies of more than three years

Challenge Exam 2 is for those who have passed Stage 2 previously and not progressed to a Stage 3 pathway.

The 90-minute exam is taken online on the GAI Learning Hub while being invigilated by a GAI staff member via MS Teams. The exam covers all content previously studied and passed at Stage 1 and 2.

Successful Challenge Exam Students can then progress to a Stage 3 pathway of their choice in the GAI Education Programme without restarting at Stage 1.

Students who fail the Challenge Exam will be required to restart at Stage 1.
