BOSS Door Controls have been trading since January 2009 and we have quickly established ourselves as one of the leading suppliers of high-performance door controls in the UK. In October 2014 we also became the exclusive distributor for Fortessa designer door furniture for the whole of the UK.
In recent years we have enhanced our product portfolio to include a complete door automation service including access control. 2020 will see BOSS launching our new cam action range of surface and concealed door closers and our unrivalled closer finish options all of which will further enhance our already comprehensive and growing product portfolio that we can offer to our customers.
During 2019 we successfully restructured our management team and to reinforce our growing market position we are now looking to appoint a Business Development Director to join the management team who will be instrumental in driving the business forward into the next phase of its development.

Maintain relationships with our existing customer base
Identify and develop new customer opportunities
Provide technical support to customers and make site visits when required
Work with the management team to develop strategies for growth and set company objectives
Work to achieve company targets
Desired Skills & Experience:
This position is ideally suited to a person who has gained experience in a similar role, working with an ironmongery manufacturer or distributor and who is looking to progress their career and join a dynamic company who values input from every member of the management team

You will like to sell, visit customers and build relationships
An experienced Architectural Ironmonger, preferable Dip GAI
A strong sales background and a proven track record that demonstrates your ability to generate new business
Excellent sales negotiation and the ability to articulate at any level
Computer Literate – Word, PowerPoint, Excel etc
Likes working as part of the team, however with the autonomy that this role offers to use your own initiative
