South Central Community Hub - New BS 8670-2 Code of Practice for Construction Product Competence – What You Need to Know

The new BS 8670-2 standard for core criteria for construction product competence is due for public consultation in Spring 2026, this will provide a code of practice for defining and evidencing individual competence within the construction products sector. Hosted by GAI CEO Rachael Bliss, joined by Technical and Training Director Douglas Masterson, this presentation will outline: The scope and purpose of BS 8670-2 How it may affect construction product professionals The potential implications for organisations and individuals How members can engage in the consultation While the standard remains in development, this session will help members understand its direction of travel ahead of anticipated publication in 2027. This webinar will be worth one CPD point towards Registered Professional Status
