GAI agreement with DHI marks a worldwide first

The GAI has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Door and Hardware Institute (DHI), which represents the nonresidential, architectural openings industry in North America. The two trade bodies are entering into a major knowledge-sharing collaboration agreement to boost the continued growth of the sector in the UK and USA.

Over 350 industry professionals celebrated the very best in education achievements of the next generation at the GAI Education Awards ceremony yesterday.

Education Awards 2015

Each year the GAI celebrates the hard work that Diploma students have put in over the past year and rewards their successes. This year’s GAI Education Awards Lunch will be held on Thursday 12 November, at the Royal Lancaster Hotel, Hyde Park, London.The event is widely viewed as the premier networking business event in the ironmongery trade.

IAI awarding success in Hong Kong

An enthusiastic turnout of around 40 people at the September meeting of the HK branch of the IAI was rewarded with a trio of presentations from key GAI and IAI representatives from the UK.

GAI presses Fast Forward at AGM

More than 120 people attended the 2015 AGM and conference in May at Tortworth Court, Gloucestershire. The AGM itself achieved record attendance levels and was a great opportunity for members to find out about the Guild’s latest developments, while bringing together the industry’s key players from both the manufacturing and distribution sectors.

Guild of Architectural Ironmongers (GAI) technical manager Douglas Masterson has been voted onto the CEN task group for lever handles.

An outstanding celebration at the IAI AGM and Dinner

The 2015 AGM held particular significance as we took the opportunity to announce a change in Chairmanship, celebrating a new chapter for the Institute. Mario Del-Signore assumed the chair whilst giving thanks to Shaun Brown for his stewardship over the past two years.  Feb 2015.
