The IAI has appointed Joanne Milne-Rowe as its new vice chair. The appointment was announced at the Institute AGM on Saturday 4 March.

Jo has been in the industry for over 19 years with a wealth of experience in architectural hardware, mechanical security and electronic access control.

For the past 12 months, she has served as chairman for the South East region of the IAI, alongside her current role as business development manager at Codelocks. Jo will now step down from her position of Regional Chairman and will focus on supporting the Chair across national activities.

Jo said:

“I hope that as Vice Chair, I can play a role in changing certain perceptions about the industry and encourage the next generation of talent to seek a career in our ever-changing sector.

“The Institute is its members, and I want the members to know that I’m here to listen to their thoughts and ideas for taking the IAI forward.”

Mario Del-Signore, chair of the IAI, said:

“Jo has already been recognised for her commitment to improving communication and increasing engagement among members in her role as chairman of the south east region. I have no doubts that she will continue to help to take the Institute from strength to strength and look forward to working with her to promote the IAI’s work.”
