New RIBA Approved CPD Now Available
In a new initiative the GAI have now produced a CPD which has been approved by RIBA entitled “Ironmongery and accessibility” and are now offering our membership the opportunity to purchase this for them to deliver around their own architect's practices at a cost of £250 plus VAT.
As it is RIBA approved this means that architects will be able to receive double learning points for attending a presentation of this CPD.
This seminar on the specification of ironmongery looks at the following areas: legislation, including the Disability Discrimination Act, Equality Act, BS 8300: 2009, and Approved Documents and their equivalents throughout the UK and Ireland; the impact of BS 8300, specifically on products such as door closers, automatic door operators, door furniture and hardware such as hinges, locks and panic hardware, as well as access control products and handrails, and; visual contrast and light reflectance values.
If you require any further detail on this CPD or wish to purchase it please contact our Technical Manager, Douglas Masterson on firstname.lastname@example.org.
