CPD (Continuing Professional Development)– having completed the DipGAI Diploma the Registered Architectural Ironmonger (RegAI) CPD programme is a journey to success in becoming a professional practitioner. To become a RegAI, individuals must complete CPD activity proving they are fully up-to-date with the latest industry standards, regulations and legislation. It also demonstrates an ongoing level of competency that sets RegAIs apart from others in the industry.
How to become a RegAI
In order to be a Registered Architectural Ironmonger, RegAI members of the Institute of Architectural Ironmongers must either gain or maintain their status each calendar year period. During this time each individual must collect 10 CPD points which must be recorded on their log sheet.
A range of new CPD (Continuing Professional Development) seminars has been launched by the Institute of Architectural Ironmongers (IAI) for 2018.
There are 18 new CPDs being released throughout the year developed by the IAI, Guild of Architectural Ironmongers (GAI) and other contributors including Secured by Design, Fire Door Inspection Scheme (FDIS), Exova Group and the Copper Development Association.
Mario Del-Signore, national chair of the IAI, said:
“As Registered Architectural Ironmongers, we have committed to maintaining high levels of technical knowledge through the IAI CPD programme. These CPDs will help Institute members to stay at the top of their game and to ensure they provide their customers with quality technical advice and product knowledge.”
Douglas Masterson, technical manager at the GAI, said:
“The increase to our CPD register will take our offering up to 60 seminars and videos that are available to the IAI branches across the UK, Asia and the Middle East. We are still in discussion with a number of trade associations and manufacturers to extend our CPD portfolio even further throughout the year.”
