IAI Awards 2016/17
“I can’t believe it’s that time again for making nominations for our IAI Awards! How time flies! Since our last AGM, I have spent a lot of time in and around our regional branch network, meeting members throughout the UK and overseas, understanding their issues, representing IAI interests around the GAI Executive table and pushing forward with our primary goal of enhancing the profile of the RegAI. I hear lots of great feedback from the membership and know that there is a huge amount of positivity and energy about the work we’re doing to raise standards across the practitioners of our industry.
Which is why I love to celebrate the best of the best at our Awards evening following the AGM. It is an opportunity to put outstanding individuals and/or companies in the spotlight to receive the praise that they deserve for their particular contributions in our sector. This year, we’re opening up the nomination process to all members of the IAI and the GAI to promote even greater engagement. So, I warmly invite you to get the awards for 2016/17 underway by using the links on these pages to make submissions for each of the four categories. The IAI Executive looks forward to reviewing nominations and then selecting the ultimate winners, who will be celebrated during our AGM early next year.”
As an IAI or GAI member you have the opportunity to nominate others members to receive one of the Institute's prestigious awards.
These awards have proven to be a perfect way to acknowledge an individual's (or sometimes team's) outstanding contribution to the Institute or Industry.
There are four awards available:
- The Fellowship Award
- Paul Lewis Award for Customer Service
- GAI Award for Services to the Institute
- Promising Ironmonger of the Year
These awards are presented each year at the Institute's Annual General Meeting and Dinner. They are highly valued and therefore presented to the most worth candidates. Your nominations therefore play a key part in the journey that culminates with the successful individuals celebrating their achievements amongst their peers at the Institute's flagship event.
This is your chance to acknowledge someone's efforts over the past year and nominate them for an award. Each award is explained in greater detail below, together with any eligibility criteria that may apply.
All nominations must be received by Wednesday 30th November 2016.
