Michael Dall presenting on 'Economic Overview'

Michael Dall, Lead Economist at construction market analysts Barbour ABI, with responsibility for providing detailed coverage of the UK economy with specific focus on the construction sector. Since joining Barbour ABI in 2013, Michael is responsible for providing monthly updates to clients and subscribers to Building magazine on the key economic, political and financial changes that impact the UK economy and construction. He also works with several major construction companies to help them understand the implications of market trends and macroeconomic changes for their business. Frequently quoted in the national media on the construction sector's performance, Michael has also appeared on various media outlets including Sky News and the BBC.

With ten years experience in the built environment and property sectors, Michael formerly worked at GVA as an economist covering the residential and commercial property markets.


Jonathan O’Neill presenting on ‘Insights into the Hackitt Inquiry’

Jonathan O’Neill began his professional life in the insurance industry and in June 1999 was appointed Managing Director of the Fire Protection Association, when asked to lead the team responsible for taking the organisation out of the Loss Prevention Council. During his time as MD he has overseen two relocations and has managed the organisation to financial independence from insurers. Now based at the Fire Service College in Moreton-in-Marsh, FPA, the UK’s National Fire Safety Organisation has recently opened a fire test facility enabling it to remain at the forefront of technological advances in fire protection method and techniques.

Jonathan has served on numerous government, ministerial and sector advisory bodies and was part of the strategic advisory group on the Fire Futures Review. He represents UK insurers on the Prevention Forum of Insurance Europe, is the UK’s representative at the General Assemblies of CFPA Europe and CFPA International, he sits on the Executive of the Fire Sector Federation, the RISC Authority and the Operational Guidance Strategy Board; and is a member of the Boards of BASEC, SSIAB and BAFE on which he chairs the SP203 Group.

Jonathan was awarded in the Queen’s Birthday Honours in October 2017 for services to fire safety, and received his OBE on Tuesday 31 October at Buckingham Palace from Prince William, Duke of Cambridge.


Andreas Häberli presenting on ‘Digital transformation is affecting our industry’

Andreas Häberli, Chief Technology Officer at dormakaba is a Swiss citizen who studied a Degree in Electrical Engineering ETH Zurich (CH); PhD in micro-Engineering ETH Zurich (CH); Financial Management for Executives St. Gall Business School.

In 1997 to 1999 Andreas became Chip Design Engineer Invox (CA/USA). He then developed on to Member Management Board Sensirion (CH) from 1999 to 2003. From 2003 - 2010 he was Head of Development and Member of Management Board Kaba AG (CH), which has lead Andreas on to his current position as Chief Technology Officer and member of the Executive Committee dormakaba Group and member of the Board of Directors of the Komax Group.
