THE GAI DIPLOMA - STAGE 3

The GAI Diploma course is for learners who have achieved The Certificate in Architectural Hardware. This qualification is recognised in many countries as the ‘must have’ for architectural ironmongers. Achieving the Diploma will increase competence in communicating with your customers and enhance your employability.

COURSE OBJECTIVE:

This course builds on the product knowledge already gained and seeks to bring application through developing scheduling skills and understanding key control. For those wishing to make their career in architectural ironmongery the Diploma is an essential platform for your development.

Stage 3 comprises the following modules:

  • Electric Hardware
  • Access Control
  • Appreciating Architects Drawings
  • Master Keying
  • The Scheduling of Architectural Hardware

Upon enrolment and receipt of payment you will be given access to the syllabus. There are self-check questions for some of the modules to ensure that you have adequately grasped and understood the various topics. There are also ‘must-do’ course work questions and the marks achieved in these will form part of your overall assessment.

At the end of Stage 3, you will sit an exam at a venue organised by the GAI. In this you will be asked to prepare a full hardware schedule and key chart. Upon successful completion of this you will achieve The GAI Diploma.

An additional administration and postage charge of £99.00 is applicable to all registrations outside the United Kingdom and should be included with enrolment.
